My first experience ever to stay in capsule hostel in KLIA2. Most of my flight is budget and promotion so mostly in early morning and overnight time. I remembered last time my flight arriving in KL was 10pm and I had the connect to other destinations in early morning was like 6am. My experience here as the backpacker we do anyways to save our cost, so I decided to stay in the waiting room till check in time. From 10pm to 4am check in time it was about 6 hours I had to sleep in couch, the airport’s air con was very cold at night time and I had to take care also my value stuff with me while I was sleeping. This is not the good idea to save the cost, I kept wake up because I had a lot stuff with me in case someone stole it. I was very exhausted and bad mood, no shower, and damn smell for the whole night. if my arriving to airport is too late I always stay in the airport because it pays a lot for taxi to downtown and room rental too. It’s about 46Km from KLIA2 to downtown costs about 25USD also you have to pay for the room about 15-20 USD for a night. The capsule hostel is cost 80RM for 6 hours, 100RM for 9 hours and 110RM for 12 hours. The minimum charge starts from 80RM if compare to the outside of airport rate is quite same but if you stay in the city you have to pay for round ways taxi for additional charge. As my understanding, I chose to pay for the capsule hostel, can save the taxi cost and so convenience to check in when you have the very early flight. I used to sleep at the airport when my arriving late and wait for the early flight, but I won’t recommend you guys here to do that, remember we can make more money but not healthy and safety. Just a few more dollars saving make me like the stray dog in the street, you know it’s super cold in airport. I will never do that again. It’s so easy to connect from airport to city by subway but the last train is 12.30 am make sure you don’t miss the last train. The capsule was designed in modern style looks awesome and really safe for female solo, it has separated between male and female zone, one capsule for one person if you have your friends with, you can have the queen bed for two people. It’s so comfy room, no worry about your value stuff, it has locker for every guest. Don’t believe me let try it.
